Who’s behind Streaming Made Easy?
I’m Marion Ranchet 👋
French gal living in Amsterdam.
I run The Local Act, a boutique consultancy empowering streaming video companies to launch and grow in Western Europe.
I’ve been in Media & Entertainment since 2004 😅
I chose the worst timing to work in the music business i.e. when a guy called Sean Parker started Napster and brought one of the biggest disruptions to the music industry.
That’s when I jumped into the digital train so to say. I joined a digital music start up called Musiwave. You can thank us (or not) for the ringtones, the 1st full-track music downloads on your phones etc.
Throughout the years, I worked at a movie production company (MK2), a telecom operator (Orange), a Pay TV channel (OCS) and a CTV platform (Roku).
The Local Act is the sum of all these different experiences. I’m 2 years in and I love it!

Why I started Streaming Made Easy?
As much as I love writing short form content on Linkedin, I felt topics called for a deeper level of analysis.
I also wanted a place where I could build a 1 on 1 relationship with my readers.
The one thing I hadn’t anticipated during this journey is the writers’ community I would found. Writing is a lonesome activity but it doesn’t have to be.
